My daughter did the same thing. Turned up in Ohio arrested for a series of dine-and-dashes. All facilities, except detention centers or jail, in Florida are voluntary for minors. They can walk out the door any time they want to, even if it means a contempt of court. That is why I had to hire an official escort to get mine to a facility in Utah where the parents have authority over minors. Every State is different. Florida bows to the will of minors. She will turn up again when the gas, food, and money runs out.
